Academically outstanding students may apply to become Allievi of the Collegio Carlo Alberto. The Allievi are expected to fulfil their university requirements, as well as to participate in additional activities (tutorials and classes) at the Collegio. Senior Allievi, who successfully complete their study program at Collegio, are awarded the Master in Economics from the Collegio. Alternatively, depending on the Allievi’s interests, specific study programs may be designed which then lead to the award of the Master in: Economics and Complexity; Finance and Risk Management; Statistics and Applied Mathematics. The Allievi interact on a daily basis with faculty members, and the research community of the Collegio. Moreover, they have access to the Collegio’s facilities and scientific activities, such as seminars, lectures, master and doctoral courses.
Students are encouraged to join the Pareto Lectures in Economic and Social Sciences, that are delivered by distinguished sholars to honour Vilfredo Pareto (1848-1923), an alumnus of the University and of the Politecnico of Torino and a towering figure in the social sciences. They may also attend Collegio Aperto, which is a lecture series on current economic, social and political topics. Guest speakers are leading international scholars and professionals.
