Course objectives
The course aims at providing students with the theoretical tools to analyze the economic growth theories and the economic problems of developing countries. The topics covered during the lectures include: economic growth, migration, human capital accumulation decisions, agricultural household models, risk and insurance, poverty and vulnerability. The course includes, also, a practical session using microdata to familiarize with the econometric and statistical tools to perform empirical analysis on developing countries datasets
